One Year In and What a Year It’s Been

It’s hard to believe, but I’m coming up on my one-year anniversary with Copper Beech Wealth Managementand what a full, meaningful, and joy-filled year it has been.

On a personal note, my boys are now two ! Watching them grow, explore, and develop their own little personalities has been the greatest reminder of how quickly time moves—and how important it is to be present for each season. That perspective has shaped the way I think about this work, too.

Because over the past year, I haven’t just “worked with clients”, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s biggest moments. We’ve celebrated weddings, welcomed grand-babies, cheered on college graduations, and helped clients step confidently into retirement. We’ve also navigated more challenging seasons—unexpected transitions, difficult decisions, and moments that required extra care, patience, and planning.

That’s the part of this work that has stood out to me most. Financial planning isn’t just about numbers or markets, it’s about people. It’s about being there for the milestones and the messy middle. It’s about helping someone feel steady when life feels uncertain, and confident when big opportunities arise.

This past year has shown me just how special that role can be. I’ve loved getting to know our clients, their families, their stories, their goals, and being trusted to play even a small part in helping them move forward. It’s incredibly rewarding work, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Looking ahead, I’m even more excited.

There’s so much more to dive into: deeper planning conversations, new goals to map out, and continued opportunities to support clients through whatever comes next. If this first year is any indication, the future will be just as meaningful (and just as full).

And hopefully, I’ll keep getting better at balancing it all, with two busy toddlers at home! Thank you to everyone who has made this first year so special. I truly can’t wait for what’s ahead.
